I’m often asked by friends and family about how to improve computer speed. They know that I perform regular maintenance on my computers and strive to keep them from crashing. While they have crash and freeze problems with even newer systems. Hopefully the tips I gave them can help you, too.

A registry cleaner program. This is the best tip I can possible give for how to improve computer speed. It has the added side benefit of preventing computer crashes caused by both slowdown and registry errors. A registry program like this scans the registry, the brains of your computer, and fixes existing as well as potential problems. Most crashes are caused by a registry problem. But regularly running a quality registry cleaner heads these problems off at the pass, and keeps your computer running great.

Check your disk for errors. Have a look at your hard drive’s properties, and then choose the “Tools” tab. The top option is a disk error check. Run it now and then to make sure there are no disk errors that could be causing problems. If it finds an error it repairs it. This is any method on how to improve computer speed.

Defragment. The option below the disk error check is the defragmenter tool. This organized the information on your disk better so that it’s more efficient in retrieving and storing information. This speeds the system up.

Delete temporary files. Your computer keeps a cache of many Internet and other files. These accumulate and eat up space that your system could be using to run faster. On your hard disk properties box, can opt to use the disk clean up tool. This lets you delete temporary files and other things you might need to free up disk space.

Reboot. Many of us, and I am a chief violator here, never turn our computers off. We restart them when they start acting funny. It’s a good idea to periodically restart your computer, and you’ll prevent these slow patches.

Install a firewall or use the one built into Windows. This blocks certain push technologies and other contacts that can grind your system to a halt.

Use a good anti-virus program. Every virus doesn’t announce itself by erasing your hard drive. There are plenty of viruses that run in the background, doing damage quietly. These viruses, particularly Trojans that let another person get into your system remotely, can drag a system down and easily crash it. Using good anti-virus software will keep this from happening.

Get rid of spyware. One of the best methods that worked for me on how to improve computer speed was to run an anti-spyware program. I had no idea that spyware could affect a system so poorly, until it happened to me.

Watch for programs that install along with the programs you want. Some will install spyware that changes your home page and your default search engine, while others install a toolbar that will slow down your browsing while it sends the owner company information about your surfing habits. It

I’ve found the best way how to fix computer crash is to prevent it from crashing in the first place. If your computer has already crashed, that advice doesn’t do you much good right now. But it’s important to keep in mind how to fix computer crash so that you can prevent it from happening again.

Computers crash. It’s a sad fact. I’ve been pretty lucky with computers, but I tend to baby mine, keeping the junk off them and keep the registry clean and efficient. Just like you want to keep your oil and air filter changed on your car, you need to keep your computer clean and maintained to keep it running properly. Since I do this, I have few problems.

But if your computer has crashed, there are some things you can do to try to fix the problem. The first course of action is to reboot the system. If it reboots and seems to snap back to normal, you should rejoice. The reason it crashed was probably a registry problem. While that might sound serious and intimidating (and it can be, if you don’t know how to fix it) you don’t need to worry because there is registry cleaning software available to do the hard stuff for you.

The reason the registry can crash the computer in the first place is that it relies so heavily on registry entries. They’re essentially the brains of your system. If something’s not quite right there, the computer gets confused and falls apart–it crashes. Registry software looks at the entire registry and fixes errors and problems. Then your computer won’t get confusing or conflicting information from the registry, and it shouldn’t crash because of it.

If the system won’t reboot, then there’s still a way how to fix computer crash. Try to reboot in what’s called safe mode. As your computer is starting up, choose the safe mode option and it will automatically not run most of the programs that start up with your computer. This is a bare bones option that lets it run only what it needs to operate. Run a registry cleaner in safe mode to get rid of the problems that are preventing a normal reboot.

If the registry cleaner doesn’t work (though I’m sure it will at least help improve the situation, if not fix it entirely) then you have a problem with something that runs when your computer’s in normal mode but not in safe mode. You can try to run a program designed to diagnose the problem, or you can allow one program at a time until a problem hits, telling you which one is the culprit.

I recommend that you invest in a registry cleaner no matter what you think the problem might be. How to fix computer crash is almost always far more technical and involved than preventing the crash in the first place. Run the registry cleaner about once a week to catch any problems right away and keep your system running smoothly. You may also want to look at ways towards speeding up your machine once you have resolved the crashing issue.

The longer you have the computer and use it, the more it fills up, has errors and gets disorganized. These contribute to the slowing of the system, which will eventually lead to its crash.

Your computer freezes randomly?

I have the solution which is fast, easy and automatic.

Check out the tools personaly recommend here.

Your computer freezes randomly?
I have the solution which is fast, easy and automatic.
Check out the tools I personally recommend here

Unfortunately, when a computer freezes randomly it’s not something that’s really out of the ordinary. If you use a computer regularly and don’t take specific steps to prevent freezing, then it’s bound to start locking up sooner or later. The computer’s very nature and design leads it down this road.

This is because of the computer’s registry. The registry is a very complex and often misunderstood component of Windows. It’s vital to your computer’s operation. Think of the registry as your computer’s brain. And everything you do on the computer, everything you install or remove, is stored in the brain. When you remove things, very often certain registry entries are left behind, like memories. But these memories are good for absolutely nothing.

The registry hangs on to them, though, and eventually it gets so full that it’s hard to find things that are important now. The registry is often a source or problems. The registry is probably the culprit if your computer freezes randomly.

To fix this problem, you have 3 options:

Format your hard drive: This gives your system a fresh start. It also erases everything but the operating system, so any programs you have installed, any files, will be erased when you format the disk. You need to back up everything, including the current registry, before attempting to reformat your computer. If something goes wrong, as long as you have a registry backup you can revert to that so your system will run while you figure out the problem. Formatting is probably not a step you want to take, even if your computer freezes, until the only other option is giving up and buying a new computer. Which brings us to option 2.

Buy a new computer: If your computer freezes randomly and you don’t want to format the drive, then buy a new computer to use regularly and keep this old one that freezes, knowing that it’s probably only going to get worse.

Use registry cleaning software to fix the problem: You want have to format or spring for a new system. It’s a good idea to back everything up just in case. And in fact, really good reg cleaning software prompts you to do this before it works its magic anyway. This software costs about the same as other system tool programs, which is nothing compared to the cost of a new computer. And it’s not a one shot expense that you’ll never use again. Once you have the software, you should use it about once a week to scan and prevent future problems.

If your computer freezes up, now’s the time to get the registry cleaning software, and you can probably avoid having to try the other two options.

I have recommended a few of those registry cleaning sofware here. Have a look at my recommendation and stop your computer from freezing today.

So you’ve asked yourself, “Why is my computer running so slow?” and realized that you have no idea what to do about it. Slowing down is a common problem with computers, even if they’re fairly new. Just using them regularly without doing regularl system maintenance will eventually slow down even the fastest computer.

QUESTION: Why is my computer running so slow?
SOLUTION: Check out the software I personally recommend here

A slow computer manifests itself in several ways. You might turn it on and wonder when it’s going to actually load. You might click an icon to open a program and feel your hair grow in the time it takes the program to actually be ready to use. A slowing computer can also make using the Internet a chore, no matter how fast your DSL connection might be. If the computer is at a crawl, it can only process what it finds online at that speed. Many slow surfing sessions are blamed on an ISP or the speed of the Internet, when it’s really the speed of the computer that’s at fault.

If you’re wondering, “Why is my computer running so slow?” it could be that you have a packed or error-riddled (or both) registry. There are programs I have reviewed that can scan your registry and determine where the problem lies. The Windows registry is like the brain of your computer. Even in a short session of use, your computer writes to the registry hundreds of times. This leaves open the possibility of tidbits of info that are used only one time being stored there, as well as common errors.

On this page you can find programs that will not only scan your registry now and fix errors, but will remove invalid entries that simply take up space and slow your system down. A common answer to “Why is my computer running so slow?” is that your hard drive is filling up, and one the chief offenders is the registry. So registry cleaning software is ideal for keeping your computer running at top efficiency.

Do you need software to fix your registry? Yes, in almost every case. First, if you knew enough about the registry to tinker with it yourself, you probably would have already done so, right? And playing around in the registry is kind of like doing brain surgery without having gone to medical school (or even taken a biology class). It’s very easy to make a mistake and completely crash your system.

There’s no need to spend weeks learning about the registry and how to fix it when there’s software designed to do that for you. And because the makers of the software I reviewed know how complex the registry is, the software will back up your registry on the odd chance that any changes it makes cause a problem. Then you can easily restore the old copy and get your computer running again.

“Why is my computer running so slow?” need never be a question you ask again, because once you have the registry software you can scan your system regularly to keep the registry in good shape.

The best pc diagnostic tools go beyond simple errors that occur with computers and instead dig deep to point out the root cause of the problem. Where your computer might pop up with a “Run DLL” error, a diagnostic tool will figure out why the error is occurring and report that to you so that you can correct it. Basic error reporting is built into most computers and is a default part of the Windows operating system. There’s a tool that will run when any problem is detected with any program or process on your system.

——————————————————————————————–
FACT: There are too many PC Diagnostic tools to choose from
Check out the ones I personaly recommend:
Best PC Diagnostic tools
——————————————————————————————–

There are also pc diagnostic tools programs that you can download, both free and to purchase, which do an excellent job of searching your computer and looking for potential problems. This software is designed for the person who doesn’t have a lot of detailed computer knowledge and who may not be able to take a common error message, find the root cause and repair it.

The software will do all the work for you to discover what the original cause of your computer problems may be. One of the most common problems people have with their computer is that it’s slowing down for no obvious reason. There are many reasons why this happens, and good software can detect all of them.

One of the main problems is registry errors. It’s best to use software designed just for registry problems to ensure that your registry is fixed correctly. As this is the brains of your computer, if something is deleted that’s necessary, your computer may not even come on when you reboot it. I have listed here my 3 best registry cleaning software available.

Another common problem that will slow your computer to a crawl is a full hard drive. If you barely have any space left on your hard drive, your computer can’t function at top efficiency. If you don’t know whether or not your hard drive is full, it’s simple to check even without software to point it out to you.

Go to “My Computer” (XP) or “Computer” (Vista) in your Start Menu. Right click on your hard drive and choose “Properties.” It will tell you and show you in a handy pie chart how much of your hard disk is free and used. If over 3/4 of your hard disk is full, this is likely one reason your computer is slowing. And no matter how full it is, there are ways to clear space and make your computer run faster.

Using one of the programs I recommend to clear your registry can free up tons of hard drive space, as the registry is a resource hog. You can also use the disk cleanup tool and the defragmenting tool to free space.

Another common problem is not enough memory, which pc diagnostic tools will point out to you, as well as problems with your BIOS, disk errors and other maladies which will slow down your computer. So try some diagnostic software like the programs I have selected here today, and by tomorrow your computer could be back at top speed. (actually within 20 minutes lol)

Even the most advanced computers with the newest and fastest processors will slow down over time. Fortunately, it’s preventable, and fixable if it’s already happened to you. A little regular maintenance can keep your computer running at top speed, and some simple steps can whip it back into shape.

———————————————————————————————
I help my friends and family sort out their computer issues.
if you are telling yourself "my computer is running very slow"
I can help you here
———————————————————————————————

If you’re one of the many now saying, “My computer is running very slow,” you may also be wondering why this is. Why would your fairly new system with the best processor available at the time be slowing down so much? Just using a computer causes things to happen that will eventually slow it down, and they’re all reversible.

The programs listed here are software that can speed your computer back up by cleaning the registry. The more you use your computer, the more populated your registry becomes. It’s the brains of your system, and just like a real brain it gets filled with tidbits and info that it uses once and never again. Errors aren’t uncommon, either. But the programs I reviewed can scan your registry, fix errors and get rid of any extraneous entries. This alone can make a huge difference in the speed of your computer.

You don’t need software to fix some problems, though. Try dumping your recycle bin. Just because you’ve deleted gigabytes of pictures or files, doesn’t mean they’re no longer taking space on your hard drive. They’re there until you dump your trash can! This can free up precious hard disk space, and on a computer that’s slowing because the hard disk is filling up, just dumping your recycle bin can make a speed difference.

If you’ve tried these things and still say, “My computer is running very slow!” you can try deleting the temporary files on your computer. When you’re on the Internet, your system caches everything you see, meaning it stores a copy of it on your computer. Temporary files can take up quite a chunk of space. The easiest way to delete these files is go to “My Computer” or “Computer,” depending on whether you’re using XP or Vista. Right click on your hard drive and select “Properties.” Click “Disk Cleanup” and it’ll tell you how much space can be freed up.

The temporary files will most likely make up the biggest chunk of the files that can go–these alone can eat up dozens of gigabytes. Click the ones you’re ready to clean up and let the software do the work.

In addition to using a program you find on my personal review page to clean up the registry, which is a huge eater of disk space, you’ll want to use special software to check for viruses and spyware, two very common problems. “My computer is running very slow” is often because while surfing or checking your email you’ve picked up a virus or a spy program. The anti-virus software will find these for you and improve the speed of your computer.

Even the newest, fastest computer tends to slow down over time. This can happen from too many unused programs or files filling up the hard drive, from things that happen while you’re online, and from the general way that computers operatea and save information to disk. Fortunately, I have personally reviewed some programs you can use to get your computer running quickly again. There are some other simple steps you can take, too.

————————————————————————————–
I have the solution which is fast, easy and automatic.
You can speed up your computer in less than 20 minutes by learning how I did it here:
How to speed up my PC
————————————————————————————–

1.	Eliminate Spyware
Spyware involves programs that deposit information on your computer to track where you go and what you do on the Internet. It can dramatically slow down how fast your computer can surf the Internet and run at all, because it’s busy monitoring what you do. It also risks your personal information and violates your privacy, so there are many reasons to get rid of it. Download anti-spyware software or an anti-virus program that also protects against software. There are free and paid versions of these programs that can help next time you wonder, “How to speed up my pc?”

2.	Clean the Registry
Your Windows registry is the data center of your computer, and by its very design it tends to get messed up sometimes. Errors aren’t uncommon, and they’ll slow your computer down considerably. You can fix some registry errors manually, but you’ll have to learn a great deal about the registry, which is extremely complicated, and in manually fixing programs you’ll run the risk of locking up your computer. Your computer accesses the registry constantly, so keeping it in top shape is the best way to speed up your pc. www.howtospeedupmycomputer.net reviews some programs that can clean your registry quickly and easily, and without you having to read technical computer manuals.

3.	Clear Disk Space
Unused programs eat up space. When you have less free disk space, your computer runs more slowly. A built-in tool on your computer called the Disk Cleanup Tool, under Accessories and System Tools, lets you remove unused programs easily as well as delete temporary files and other files that are wasting space. You can also go into your Control Panel, choose ‘uninstall programs’ and remove the ones you don
